During selected holidays and the summer season, we are open seven days a week. Unlike many European museums, which are traditionally closed on Mondays, the Open Air Museum is open every day during the summer season and other season holidays. The museum is closed on most Mondays outside the main holiday periods.Is The Open Air Museum open all year round?
The museum is open for most of the year, but opening days and hours change with the seasons. The museum closes after Christmas and reopens for the Danish winter holiday in February.Are all the historic houses open throughout the day?
Not quite. We gradually open and close the museum’s farmsteads and historic buildings during the first and last hour of the day. If you want plenty of time to explore inside the houses, we recommend visiting between these times.
